Radii
PropheTech’s first product, launched during the summer of 2018. Radii is a geocentric job searching platform that streamlines listings from leading job boards. Radii's emphasis on location (realized through a geographic UI) stems from issues in transportation equity, paired with pre-COVID trends of increasing average commuter times. This motivated the effort to repackage the job searching experience with accessibility and lifestyle comforts in mind.
According to the Pew Research Center, "The COVID-19 outbreak and the economic downturn it engendered swelled the ranks of unemployed Americans by more than 14 million, from 6.2 million in February to 20.5 million in May 2020." The record number unemployed Americans are who we're trying to reach.
The target customers are especially job seekers in suburban and rural areas, especially those who are un(der)skilled and often underrepresented in the ever developing job market. These populations have been evidenced to be even more impacted by the pandemic. Radii is also intended to reach similar individuals in urban areas.
Essentially, job seekers who don't frequent the likes of LinkedIn but could benefit from it's core non-social features (job recommendations, recruiter engagements, LinkedIn Learning, etc.), particularly during this employment crisis would use Radii.
Overall, Radii seeks to improve employment equity by offering a free platform that offers job seekers and professionals of all levels the opportunity to advance their income prospects without totally ruining other aspects of their quality of life.
